Have you seen our outdoor teaching area?

Jack Crooks was part of the first graduating class of Rea View in 2008 and is now a senior at Ardrey Kell High School.  Jack has been a member of Scout Troop 101 since 2008 and as part of his Eagle Scout requirements, he embarked upon serving his community by creating an outdoor classroom here at Rea View.  This has been a long process, with Jack putting in months of planning and many hours of manual work.  Jack is very proud that the trail leading to the seating area meets ADA guidelines (Americans with Disabilities Act) and that all Rea View students and staff will be able to enjoy using the outdoor facility.

On the day of the project Jack had help from 41 people and together they worked for a total of 225 hours.   In addition, he had another day when they installed the curb cut and numerous planning hours with his advisers for a total of 275 hours.

Jack goes before the Union District Eagle Board of Review on October 13th.  If he passes, he will then be an official Eagle.  We certainly think he deserves this as his hard work and dedication to improving our learning environment will benefit many Red Wolves to come.  Thank you Jack!
