Safety Lessons with Officer Louie

Officer Louie, a deputy sheriff from the Union County Police Department, visited Indian Trail Elementary School to talk to each grade level about safety tips that are important to them. This program is a part of Mrs. Gulickson’s Leadership class. Officer Louie discussed the importance of following these simple safety rules:

#1 Never play with matches or lighters.
#2 Always wear your bike helmet.
#3 Always buckle your seatbelt.
#4 Always use the “Buddy System”.
#5 Never accept rides or gifts from strangers.
#6 Say No to alcohol and other drugs.

The students learned many life-long safety rules that they should follow to keep safe in their lives. Thank you to Officer Louie for giving them these great tips.
