Introducing Polly Kiger!
Mrs. Kiger is our new 4th grade teacher. We asked Mrs. Kiger to share a little about herself and now we would like to share it with you.
Hi! My name is Polly Kiger and I am from Tampa, Florida (Go Bucs, Rays, and Lightning). I went to the University of South Florida (Go Bulls!). I started my teaching career in December 1999. I am not new to Union County. The last 7 and 1/2 years I was at Sandy Ridge Elementary in Waxhaw.
I am so blessed to share my home with my husband, Rick, my son, stepson, and our baby girl, Charlie (she is a Pug). We enjoy watching sports, going outside to toss a ball around or playing basketball together. Game days are so much fun in our house since we all have our own teams that we root for.
Something you may not know about me is that I am a twin. We also have another sister that is only a year and 8 days older than we are. I am sure my mother felt like she had triplets when we were growing up. My sisters and my mother live in Waxhaw. I also have 3 older brothers whom are still in Tampa.
In my free time I enjoy working out, reading, cooking, going to the movies, drinking coffee, going to a nice dinner, shopping and spending time with my family....there are a lot of us when we all get together. It is so much fun. Oh, did I mention loud? :-)
I am so blazing excited about being at Stallings and sharing my love of teaching with all the students. One of my favorite quotes to share with students is "practice makes you better." I am looking forward to a wonderful year.
