EUMS Participates in All County Chorus
On October 1, selected 7th and 8th grade choral students attended All County Chorus at Wingate University. These students participated in an intense day-long rehearsal with students from other UCPS middle schools to prepare three songs for a concert that would be performed on the same evening. By participating in such an activity, students have a chance to experience what it feels like to perform in a professional atmosphere. They also learn advanced singing techniques that they can bring back to our chorus to share with their fellow students.
When asked about her experience, Emily Taboada said, “I had a great experience at All County Chorus. It allowed me to work with all kinds of people each with a unique voice. I had a wonderful time singing in a large choir." Avia Starnes expressed similar remarks. “My experience at All County was amazing. I loved the great singing, and look forward to going back next year when I’m in high school." Vitta Chin says, “ My experience at All County Chorus was very fun and I learned a lot. It was nice because we were able to cooperate with other students and perform for a large audience.”
7th grader Alvin Parson was selected to be the soloist on “Come in From the Firefly Darkness”.
EUMS is proud of our young performers who did an outstanding job at the concert.
