"Celebrate My Drive" campaign in full swing
Porter Ridge High School is taking part in the "Celebrate My Drive" program from October 15-24th. The mission of the program is to increase and spread the use of safe driving habits. By participating in "Celebrate My Drive," PR hopes to encourage students, and everyone else in the community, to make safe driving commitments on a daily basis in an effort to make our roads safer and reduce the number of teens that are killed in motor vehicle crashes.
To make the commitment, please visit www.celebratemydrive.com and click on the red “Make Your Safe Driving Commitment” box in the center of the screen.
Participants will be asked for their e-mail address, date of birth (must be 14 years of age or older), and indicate if they are a student, teacher, or community member. All contact information will be destroyed at the end of "Celebrate My Drive" on October 24th. Participants will need to select Porter Ridge High School and answer two quick road safety related questions.
The schools participating in "Celebrate My Drive" have an opportunity to win cash grant prizes as well. Two schools will receive a $100,000 grant and a concert featuring The Band Perry. Eight schools will receive a $100,000 grant. 90 schools will receive a $25,000 grant.
Please consider supporting the students of Porter Ridge High School during the "Celebrate My Drive" program by making a safe driving commitment during National Teen Driver Safety Week. Each person 14 years or older can commit to safe driving daily from October 15-24th!
