And the Winner Is...
In recognition, Mrs. Jacob will receive a cash prize of $1,500 and an original piece of art to commemorate her achievement. In addition, she will receive a special professional development opportunity at the Innovation Institute at the McColl Center for Art & Innovation.
"It's an honor to be recognized by the Arts & Science Council for my dedication to the students of Union County. Twenty years from now, my students will not remember they learned to find the main idea in my class, but they will remember performing a Greek Play wearing a toga and hand-woven belt and painting a masterpiece like Monet."
In addition to being recognized by the Arts & Science Council, Mrs. Jacob will be recognized by the Union County Board of Education at the November 6th Board of Education meeting.
