Teachers Meet to Discuss Curriculum and Instruction
The elementary and middle school AIG teachers met as Professional Learning Communities (PLC) for a half day October 15-17, 2014. The teachers met in their clusters to discuss the curriculum and instruction and the new curriculum maps developed last spring for the gifted program in Union County Public Schools. The teachers collaborated on teaching ideas and assessments for the next six weeks. One of the many positive outcomes of the PLCs is that teachers had the opportunity to follow up on students who may have transferred to other schools. The teams will continue to meet over the 2014-2015 school year.
