Ghost Ball Drop Fundraiser
Our new principal, Mr. Conner, came to UCEC eager to bring fresh ideas and raise money for improvements to the school. His first idea was a Ghost Ball Drop, in which students had to sell tickets for 20 dollars apiece with a chance to win $2,500. Proceeds will support our school, especially paving and expanding our basketball court. Ghost Ball Tickets were allocated by class for students to sell, with various individual incentives, and the class seling the greatest number winnning a pizza party. Mr. Stewart agreed to have his hair dyed pink if the students sold at least 300 tickets, and let’s say that pink is a good color on him!
On October 30th, the student body came outside to the field, and held up number signs to count down to the big drop!! After much anticipation the golf balls were dropped, and lucky ball “1044” made it into the hole! The winner was Alan Moore, one of Mrs. Bell’s friends, who purchased the winning ticket. The students are looking forward to the improvements that will come to the school due to this fundraiser. Mr. Fish's class will enjoy their pizza and the following students sold the greatest number per grade level; 9th-Ashley Shepherd; 10th-Marixa Pallacios;11th-tied; Elexis Rushing and Katlyn Boyle; 12th-Tai Huynh; and 13th-Emily Ortiz.Enjoy your individual prizes!!
Thank you to everyoone who bought or sold tickets that will improve our school for the students. We appreciate your support!!
