Kindergarten Goes to Aw Shucks!
On October 21, Kindergarten took a field trip to Aw Shucks Farm in Monroe! Students participated in a variety of activities from learning how corn is grown and the items it is used to make, navigating through a corn maze, taking a hay ride, feeding animals in the petting zoo, investigating an original wooden train car, walking through a general store full of antiques, and of course picking out a pumpkin for a souvenir! Students have been learning about the fall season and symbols normally seen in fall which they were able to experience for themselves on this trip. They have also been learning about the life cycle of a pumpkin. This was an excellent hands on fall field trip which the students thoroughly enjoyed.
