Say No to Germs! Say Yes to Good Health!

Right, Nurse Bradley talking to Mrs. Humphrey's class about staying healthy and away from germs!

Germs, germs, germs! In our recent health unit, Kindergarten students learned how germs get into our bodies to make us sick. Being sick is not fun!

We learned that touching our eyes, mouth, or nose can let germs move from our hands into our bodies. Students discovered one way to keep from spreading germs is to cough into their elbows instead of their hands.

We finished our study with a visit from the school nurse. Our Kindergarteners learned from Nurse Bradley the correct way to wash hands so we can stay healthy and free from sickness. Using warm water and soap is the best way to keep germs off our hands.  Being sick can cause us to miss many important things each day.

The students had many interesting questions and enjoyed learning about germs.
