Alex Kahle Spirit Scholarship Winner

Each year Union County has the Parade Princess Crowning. The Parade Princess receives an Alex Kahle Memorial Scholarship as well as the crown, which is proudly worn in the Union County Christmas Parade. Nominees for Parade Princess are chosen by each school from 12th grade students who apply for the honor. This year, UCEC student, Aja Crayton, applied and was chosen to represent our school. This led to a more intensive process to vie for the Parade Princess Crown. She described the process as the application, interview, and finally, the judging to make the final choice for the crown.

Unfortunately, our lovely Ms. Crayton did not win the crown, however, we are proud to announce that she was selected by Mr. and Mrs. Kahle for the Spirit Scholarship of $1000.. Mrs. Kahle especially wanted to note “how impressed she was with ‘Aja.” Congratulations, we are proud to be represented by ‘Aja, who allows make us proud. We know the scholarship money will come in handy when you head off to college to pursue your dreams.
