Ambassador Mark Erwin to speak at Student Leadership Seminar and Community-Wide Events

One of our long-established Student Life traditions each year is the opportunity for leadership training.  This year, the administration will again host a session for our students, and we are privileged to have the support of our PTSO in this endeavor.

Please mark Monday, November 17 on your calendar for two very important events:

Former Ambassador Mark Erwin will speak on our campus in two programs.

Student Leadership Seminar:   We will bring our student leaders together at 12:30, then move everyone into the auditorium at 1:00.  Mr. Erwin will speak for 45 minutes to an hour and then host a short Q & A.  From 2:00-2:45, student leaders will re-convene in the cafeteria to construct their team action plans for the year and a service project as time allows.  Student leadership of all clubs, organizations, and teams are required to attend.

Evening Presentation:  We will host a brief reception at 6:30, and then Mr. Erwin will present to students, parents, and community members beginning at 7:00 P.M. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend!  This is an awesome opportunity for support of many content areas and age groups of students.

Mr. Erwin is a former ambassador, former member of the Board of Directors of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, President of Erwin Capital, Adjunct Professor, minister, and serves on the boards for numerous organizations.   An author, his books  include Life’s  Lessons:  Lines  of  Wisdom from  a  Faithul  Stream,  which he  co-authored with renowned artist Bob Timberlake, and The Practical Ambassador: A Common Sense Guide for United States Ambassadors, which is now part of the curriculum of the Foreign Service Institute at the State Department. His latest book, An Unlikely Journey is based on his personal story of overcoming early disaster to pursue a life filled with adventure and success.   Mr. Erwin will be talking about his unlikely life journey and the power of personal success.  His life motto is “Make a difference – Do Good – Have Fun.”

We are very excited and honored to host Ambassador Erwin, and thank you in advance for your support!
