Monroe Rotary visits Kensington Elementary!

 On November 19th, the Monroe Rotary Club visited Kensington Elementary to give new dictionaries to all the third grade students. The students were excited to get the new dictionaries and were trying to look up new words and quiz each other. One student said he was glad to get a dictionary for himself so he did not have to share with his classmates. The Monroe Rotary Club serves fourteen counties in the west-central region of North Carolina and is the oldest service organization in Union County. Rotary International is an organization of business and professional leaders and provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace throughout the world. Rotary International, the organization flourishes in 163 countries with some 31,000 clubs and 1.2 million men and women members, providing community service in virtually every nation in the world.
