There's a new program at Shiloh called SAFE (Students At the Flag Early).
Two fifth grade students every day get picked to raise the flag with Mr. Tino in the morning. This time, we were the lucky ones. Read on to hear about it.

When you are raising the flag, there are three steps. Step number one: Mr. Tino brings down the ropes with clips on the end of it. Step two: You clip the flags onto the clips. Step three: You check to make sure it is not upside down and you raise the flag. Also, you have to tie it around. There are two flag to be raised: the United States Flag and the North Carolina State Flag. We were very proud to have been chosen to raise our state and country flags!
