BHESA Schoolwide Spelling Bee

Spelling Bee winner, Julie Sanchez and Runner-up, Victor Lopez pictured with Assistant Principal, Mr. Stout.
The BHESA Schoolwide Spelling Bee was held Friday, December 5, 2014.  The Bee was comprised of 18 participants representing each 3rd – 5th Grade classroom.  All participants represented their class well and were highly composed as they spelled words.
This year’s Bee took 16 rounds to complete with Mr. Frank Casstevens serving as our pronouncer and Mrs. Patricia Medina, Mrs. Kimberly Goodman, and Mrs. Kimberly Sutton serving as judges.  Many of our Spelling Bee participants’ families were in attendance during the event, as well as all of our 3rd – 5th grade classes.
Our winner and runner up, both fifth grade students, were Julie Sanchez and Victor Lopez respectively.   Miss Sanchez will now represent BHESA at the Union County Public Schools Spelling Bee to be held January 28, 2015 at Central Academy of Technology and Arts.

We are so proud of all the Spelling Bee participants!  Way to go TIGERS!
