UCPS will operate on a two-hour delay Wednesday, January 14

School system staff will continue to monitor weather conditions throughout the evening and overnight.

Due to a Freezing Rain Advisory in our area, Union County Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Wednesday, January 14.

A two-hour delay means that the school day will begin and buses will run exactly two hours later than normal for students and staff. Schools will dismiss at their normal times.

Safety is a priority and, while making decisions, school system administrators will always err on the side of caution to keep students, parents and staff safe.

UCPS staff will continue to monitor weather and road conditions throughout the evening and overnight.

Should weather conditions change, staff and parents will be notified no later than 5:30 tomorrow morning.

For updates and announcements about delays or closings, please check the UCPS website and school websites.

Notifications are also posted on the UCPS Facebook page and on all school Facebook Pages. Announcements are also made through local television and radio stations.
