Soccer Balls for Africa

In Africa it is common for kids to use whatever it takes to make a soccer ball. Plastic bags, socks, you name it, I bet a kid has made a soccer ball from it. Most kids, however, long to have a real soccer ball to play with.

Antioch's fifth grade students and teachers have decided to help out with this issue and are partnering with World Vision, a humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. The fifth grade team is sponsoring a fundraiser where you gather up loose change or donations and for every $16.00 raised they will send two soccer balls over to Africa.

They are accepting donations of loose change, to help send as many soccer balls as we can to kids in Africa. This fundraiser will take place from January 12- February 6, 2015. Students throughout 5th grade are creating signs and we are broadcasting it over the morning announcements to get the word out. Every penny counts!! Please help us by visiting
