Science can be "Hair Raising!"
The fun with electricity continues in fourth grade! Mrs. Rogers' class fourth grade class experimented with static electricity recently. The students used balloons to create static charges. Discovering they could make their hair stand up was amazing. Students tested how long balloons would stick to the board. They studied variables such as number of times the balloon was rubbed on their head and whether placing or throwing a balloon on the board made a difference. The class learned the causes of static electricity and how it is discharged.
