New Year, New Teachers!

As the new year begins, Antioch welcomes four new student teachers to our school. The student teachers are completing their final semester of college, while gaining valuable teaching experience. For the next 4 months these soon-to-be-teachers will be mentored by a few of Antioch’s best teachers. Pictured from left to right are: Jessica Glover who will work with Mrs. Nutter’s 1st grade class, Ashley Harrison who will work with Mrs. McKinney’s 5th grade class, Stephanie Renda who will work with Mrs. DeSantis' EC Resource class, and Analisa Laws and Arielle Knowles (not pictured) who will work with Mrs. Campbell in Guidance. These ladies are extremely excited to be working with Antioch’s outstanding staff and students.

When asked what she found most exciting about being a teacher, Jessica Glover stated that she enjoys helping students become better readers. Jessica, Ashley, Stephanie, Analisa, and Arielle will graduate in May 2015 and look forward to having their own students for the 2015-2016 school year. So if you happen to see our student teachers in the hallways, cafeteria, or classroom say hello and welcome them to the Gator community!
