UCPS to operate on two-hour delay on Friday, Feb. 27
UCPS staff and law enforcement officers have been out today assessing roads in our county. Due to the precipitation that fell last night, many roads in our county remain wet and there is a potential for refreezing tonight.
As a result, Union County Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay for students and staff on Friday, February 27.
All schools will open and buses will run two hours later than the normal time. Based on current weather predictions, the delay will allow time for temperatures to rise above freezing before buses and vehicles hit the road for school.
UCPS staff will continue to stay in close contact with law enforcement and highway patrol officers to monitor road and weather conditions throughout the evening and in the morning.
As updates are announced, information will be posted on the UCPS Website, Facebook and Twitter pages and school websites.
