UCEC Unleashed!

Emcees: Leslie B. and Sarah W.

On February 12, from 6-8 pm, our school held its 5th annual Talent Show. It was our biggest show yet! Bradley Blumer set the mood by playing the background music as attendees entered and judged the Art Show submissions. These included an assortment of art pieces sent in by students ranging from paintings to professional photographs. Congratulations, to Bonnie Loh for her 1st-Place win, for the second year in a row. The Glee Club opened up the talent portion of the show with a great performance demonstrating how hard they’ve been working this year. This year also saw the addition of a few new types of talent: magic and comedy. Alex R. gave us our first student magic show while Drew C. became our first-ever comedian. But in the end, two talented duos were the ultimate victors, creating another first; a tie for the top spot in the talent portion. Juniors Jevon R. and Alejandra M. singing/rapping “Clean Up Woman, “ and Super Seniors Chris C. and Adie R. singing “Sweater Weather.” What a great way to end Chris’ fifth and final talent show appearance.
The end of the show saw a performance by Konner K. and his band “For What It’s Worth”, who kept the audience on their feet while the votes were tallied. He and his father, Kevin, always support these efforts by providing the lights and music. Even better than winning prizes, we raised $500 to support the annual UCEC Angel Tree event. We want to thank all those who participated and came and supported our wonderful, talented students. See you next year.
