A Trip to the Aquarium
Mrs. Griffin’s and Mrs. Helms’ classes took a trip to the Concord Aquarium at Concord Mills Mall after studying ecosystems, animal habitats, and ocean life in the classroom.
The students were able to see crabs, stingrays, and a variety of fish while visiting the aquarium. They even saw an octopus! Some students touched starfish, but they had to be gentle and only use two fingers to touch them.
Both classes walked through a tunnel surrounded by water. In the water were all types of sea life. Students learned about plants that grow in the ocean.
Everyone was excited to see the hammerhead sharks swimming above them. It was a wonderful learning experience mixed with a lot of fun.
