Archived Stories for Union County Public Schools
Students may remember in 2013 when Union Elementary was very fortunate to have Coach Andy and Coach Tobin from Extreme Ice Center instruct hockey lessons to all physical education classes for a week. Union Elementary received 30 hockey sticks, 2 hockey goals, and 12 hockey balls to instruct more hockey lessons and the best part was the students had an awesome time and talked about it for weeks.
Now it's our turn to show our support and huge thanks to them and you can do it from the palm of your hand.
The winner of Kraft Hockeyville will receive $150,000 for rink upgrades and will have the opportunity to host a NHL game! This could mean huge things for hockey and figure skating programs and they really need the help of our community to help make this possible.
If you could please take a moment to visit www.KraftHockeyville.com and search for Extreme Ice Center, then please follow the instructions to nominate Extreme Ice. In this message, please describe your child's experience. Their Grow the Game program has been a large community outreach initiative, so hearing how it has directly benefited the schools would really help their chances for winning Kraft Hockeyville.
Extreme Ice Center would truly appreciate your time for this message and for nominating them to be named Kraft Hockeyville!
We are so thankful they came to our school and wish it could be done every year!
