How Things Move Around the World
Math AIG students watched a video on how food and goods travel around the world. They saw that it can travel by airplane, truck, boat, and even by camel. They determined the best mode of transportation based on various scenarios such as floods, high winds, or sand storms. Then students used their math skills to figure out a formula using distance and speed to find time. They found that they could divide distance by speed to equal time. You can see that they found it could take up to 47 hours to get food and goods that travel by camel!
