Lenovo Elementary Device Refresh

The Board of Education approved the Lenovo Elementary Device Refresh at the March 10, 2015 BOE meeting. UCPS has ordered approximately 10,000 Lenovo 11e Chromebooks for this refresh. Technology Services will be provisioning these devices over the summer to prepare them for student use during the 2015 – 2016 school year. The elementary devices will remain at the school site for student instruction during the day.


The Chromebooks were chosen so that UCPS can continue to standardize hardware across the district and to assist with the transition of students from the elementary environment to the middle school 1:1 environment. This request will refresh elementary student devices within our district and fulfill the necessary requirements for state mandated testing in grades 3-5.
