CHS Theatre Department Presents "Curtains"

“Curtains,” a musical mystery whodunit – opens April 16 at Cuthbertson High School! Showtimes are 7pm on April 16, 17, and 18 with an additional showing at 2pm on April 18. Tickets for students are $7 and adults $10. The cast features Michael Newman (11th) as Lieutenant Frank Cioffi, Brittany Garshnick (11th) as Niki Harris, Lindsey Wesoly (12th )  as Georgia Hendricks,  Maddie Kiger (12th ) as Carmen Bernstein, and Jacob Bowman (12th ) as Aaron Fox - as well as a host of other students!

The production is directed by Joy Hamilton with Michelle Rutowski as musical director. The stage manager is Trevor Gutman (12th ) and assistant stage directors are Rachael Karpinski (12th) and Emily Turner (12th). Summer Cassidy (12th) is the set designer, Ian Kennedy (10th) is the lighting technician, and Tana Stamper (12th) is the sound technician. Amanda Bianco (12th) is the choreographer, and assistant choreographers are Megan Ward and Madilynn Kwiatkowski (both 12th.) House manager is Casey Selph (11th.)

Theatrical Rights.com describes the musical this way: “It’s the brassy, bright, and promising year of 1959. Boston’s Colonial Theatre is host to the opening night performance of a new musical. When the leading lady mysteriously dies on stage the entire cast & crew are suspects. Enter a local detective, who just happens to be a musical theatre fan!”
