An Honor at Arlington National Cemetery

The students, Willow Abrunza, Janelle Craig, Tucker Parrish, and Kaitlyn Viar, were a glowing representation of their families, classmates, Cuthbertson Middle School, and our community. Their display of patriotism, courage, and reverence was to be commended. While in Washington, the students were able to visit many of the memorials. Some of which were the; Abraham Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, Korean War Memorial, WWII Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, Holocaust Memorial, and the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial. Students also went to many of the Smithsonian Museums, The Capitol Building, The Library of Congress, The White House, and Arlington National Cemetery. On the way home a visit to Mount Vernon provided the students with an in-depth view of the life of George Washington. The Washington D.C. field trip is a wonderful educational opportunity for our eighth-grade students. The experiences that can only be gained through visiting Washington D.C. provide our students with an extension of their classroom learning. Cuthbertson Middle School wishes to thank the teachers and parents who chaperoned the trip this year. We would also like to thank our students for being a glowing representation of our school.
