Weddington High School's TTA hosted their 2nd annual End of the Year Performance
On Thursday May 28th, 2015 Weddington High School's Transition to Adulthood program hosted their 2nd annual End of the Year Performance. The TTA students had been practicing every single day for a month in order to be prepared for the special event. The event consisted of two play performances, a video montage, and an award ceremony.
The performances consisted of two fractured fairy tales: “The Princess and the Pea” and “The Golden Goose”. The students worked really hard to memorize their lines and blocking and didn't miss a beat. Their pride and hard work were evident. The video montage between performances contained photos from various events throughout the year.
At the end of the performances, each student was called on stage individually to receive an award for their contribution to the TTA program, Weddington High School, and the community as a whole. Two special awards were given to our two graduating seniors: Lindsay Baist and Megan Scott. The students radiated with pride as they crossed the stage and the audience clapped until they made it back to their seat.
