Before his recent graduation, Forest Hills soccer player Alexis Soriano signed a letter of intent to play for Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte. Head soccer coach Matt Collier said that Alexis is one of only a few Yellow Jacket soccer players to play at the college level.

Alexis has been a four-year starter at Forest Hills and has played several positions.

Johnson & Wales head men's soccer coach, James Drzewiecki, said, "We look forward to having Alexis.  I think he has a lot of good qualities.  It's going to be a bit of a dogfight for him in the midfield. We will be very deep in that area.  However, I'm confident he can find a way to excel under the pressure.  His ability to learn the game the way he has despite not having the money to play for formal clubs or in stronger adult leagues is a testament to that."

Coach Collier said, “The coaches here at Forest Hills knew Alexis would be successful in soccer and continuing his education. He plans to major in Liberal Studies. We are proud of all his accomplishments.”
