FHHS FFA Tool ID Team places second in state
On Wednesday, June 17th, four students from Forest Hills High School competed in the state tool identification contest during the 87th annual North Carolina State FFA Convention in Raleigh. Team members Garrett Horne, Tyler Bunn, Jacob Hodge, and Joey Putnam were coached by their teacher and FFA adviser, Jonathan Deese.
In the tool identification contest, students are asked to correctly identify 40 hand tools out of a list of 187 as well as properly match 20 additional tool names with their definitions.
There were 56 teams from around the state competing this year. The students from Forest Hills showed off their knowledge and placed second overall in the state-wide contest. Team member Joey Putnam was the high scoring individual in the contest with a perfect score.
