Shiloh’s Summer Spotlight Series

This time, our “spotlight” will be on Shiloh Teacher Mr. Mark Greene.

Throughout the summer of 2015, Shiloh would like to take the great opportunity to do small “spotlight” stories on our wonderful staff members. Even though school is not in session, we feel that this is a fantastic time to show our thanks and continued appreciation to our dedicated staff members. This time, our “spotlight” will be on Shiloh Teacher Mr. Mark Greene. Please read further to learn more about Mr. Greene!


-When did you decide you wanted to work in education?

 I decided I wanted to work in education when I was a senior in high school.


-What is your role at Shiloh?

 I teach music and direct both the chorus and Orff ensemble.


-How long have you worked at Shiloh?

 19 years


-Can you tell us about a teacher that you had while you were growing up who had a positive influence on you?

Mr. Davis was my high school band director.


-Where did you go to elementary school?

K-3 - Polkton Elementary School
4-6  - Peachland Elementary School


-What would you like for the students of Shiloh to say about you, say in  10 or 20 years from now? 

I shared my love of music with them.


-In your opinion, what is the best thing about the Shiloh community? (Students, staff, parents, etc.)

We are a family. 


-Can you share anything with us that we may not know about you?

I am the music director and trombone section leader for the Reflection Big Band, a local community band.


-When you are not working at school, what do you like to do?

I like to spend time on the farm with my wife and border collie, Ralph.
