Shiloh welcomes Mr. Quintero to our SPLASH team!

Hello Shiloh Family,

I want to tell you some important things about me:

I am Ivan Quintero. I was born in Sevilla Valle, Colombia, a beautiful town to visit in my country. I studied at the “Universidad del Quindío” in Armenia, Colombia. My degree is Spanish and Modern Languages.

After receiving my degree and teaching license, I participated in a teaching fellowship certificate program in Minnesota, USA. Then, I returned to Colombia where I worked as a teacher while completing a nice job as Head and Researcher Teacher in an important School in the beautiful Armenia, Colombia. I participated in many professional development workshops on effective and research based education strategies for teaching.

I have been teaching full time: Spanish and English for the past 4 years in the United States and Colombia mainly. I have continued with my professional development by completing courses in the graduate education program.

I am so happy to be part of Shiloh team from this year as a first and third great resident teacher and now I want to continue with all my efforts to be a lead teacher next year.

I hope that this short autobiography will help you to learn a little about me.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me the trust, support, and the opportunity of giving the chance to be in North Carolina sharing my willingness as a teacher.

Regards,

Ivan Quintero
