Teaming up for a Picture Perfect School Year!

Welcome back to a new school year.  The team at Sardis Elementary is very excited about starting the year.  They have been working tirelessly to get ready for students.  The administration has set the standards high for everyone.  This includes faculty and staff, parents and students working together.  This is because it’s teamwork that can make a difference.

Sardis has gone through a few updates and changes for the new school year.  You may notice that there is new playground equipment.  The buildings have been cleaned and spruced up thanks to the hard-working custodial team.  New staff has joined the Sardis team including our new assistant principal, Mr. Beals.

Finally, a major change deals with our behavior plan.  At Sardis it is evident that everyone “C.A.R.E.s.”   C.A.R.E is the acronym for Character, Attitude, Respect and Effort.  The behavior plan at Sardis aligns with the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).  The administration, faculty and staff believe that students have the right to learn in a safe and caring environment.  By focusing on the C.A.R.E principles, learning opportunities are optimized.  Every child is given the chance to find success.
