Welcome Back, Cavaliers!

Members of the CHS Student Council greeted arriving students with treats as they started their first day of school.

Cuthbertson High School is off to a great start of the 2015-16 school year! On Monday morning the first day of school, students were greeted with lively music from our drum line and rock band as they entered the building. Student Council members were at every entrance to hand out candy and wish students a great first day.

“We were so excited about starting the school year that we wanted to get the students just as excited!” said Principal Dr. Kim Schroeder “We hoped the enthusiastic greetings would start everyone off on the right track!”

As in the past, all UCPS high school students will be issued Lenovo chromebooks to use for instruction throughout the school year. In order to receive a laptop, students must return a completed Student/Parent/Guardian Laptop Agreement form along with a required $25 fee that covers insurance. Please click here for the 2015-16 agreement form. Click here to access it in Spanish. Accepting a school laptop indicates agreement with the UCPS Acceptable Use Guidelines. Please click here to review the Guidelines and here to view them in Spanish.

There are several athletic events planned in the coming weeks. These may be viewed on the school website calendar and also through our weekly E-news called The Cavalier Circular. CHS will hold its Curriculum / Meet the Teacher Night on September 28 from 6:00-8:30 pm. Parents will have the opportunity to go through a mini-version of their child’s day, meet teachers, and learn about the curriculum.
