The 2015-16 school year is off to a great start

Ms. Schelb meets with parents and students during Open House.

The 2015-16 school year began on Monday, August 24, and Marvin Ridge Middle students, teachers, and support staff have gotten off to a great start. During the days leading up to school, teachers organized their classrooms, learned about new technology and district initiatives, attended meetings, and prepared to welcome students.

Many sixth graders had already gotten familiar with middle school through the sixth grade “Boot Camp”, but Open House on Friday, August 21 was a reminder to everyone that vacation is over, and it is time to start really focusing on school. Parents took advantage of this opportunity to meet teachers, tour the campus, and learn more about the school. Students were excited to meet their new teachers and get reacquainted with friends before the start of the new school year.

Marvin Ridge Middle School takes pride in its tradition of success in all areas. This success stems from a strong partnership with our parents and community. We look forward to another successful year working with you to concentrate on our school mission of “Developing each student through…

Collaboration
Achievement
Respect
Excellence”
