United Way Day of Caring
On Saturday August 29, members of the Shiloh faculty participated in the United Way Day of Caring, a day dedicated to serving others in the community. Our teachers were very proud to be a part of this opportunity.
On the annual Day of Caring, the United Way matches each volunteer group with an organization or home in need. Our teachers spent their Saturday morning at the home of former educator, Mrs. Price. There, they were busy pulling weeds, washing windows, and even cleaning gutters. The Shiloh team members were showing lots of bulldog spirit by helping Mrs. Price with her home. The team enjoyed chatting with the retired teacher and even celebrated her birthday!
Our United Way volunteers truly demonstrated Shiloh’s goal to be compassionate and dedicated citizens. Shiloh’s character word for the month of August was “respect.” We are proud that our teachers were demonstrating just what respect can look like! We have some great role models in our building!
