Blasting the year off with a Guest Reader!
The students in Mrs. Honeycutt's classroom enjoyed a wonderful surprise to begin the school year.
Mrs. Piatko our assistant principal took time from her busy schedule to read a favorite book.
It was a nice way to start the school year.
Students had the opportunity to get excited about reading by sharing connections to the story.
They also discussed the importance of good listening skills and following school rules.
Reading is such an important part of our day.
Second graders are working hard to establish the routine of Reader's Workshop! Students are thrilled to discover new books and characters.
This makes reading fun and enjoyable.
What more could a student ask for when reading something that they find interesting?
We had a great time with Mrs. Piatko and look forward to another spectacular read aloud!
