The first day of Kindergarten was full of learning!
In Math, our students were introduced to the new Math system of "Math Workshop" using the "Explore", "Explain" and "Extend" model! They used pattern blocks to see what their "math-magicians" brains could do with them! They sorted, stacked, counted, and built with them. After they explained how they used them, they buddied up to teach each other their new way! We will explore a different manipulative each day this week...and we can't wait to see what they come up with!
We learned what Readers and Writers Workshops are supposed to "look like" and "sound like" and earned "paws" for good behavior... Being a kindergarten student as part of the PACK sure is busy...and FUN!!
