Antioch Staff Lends Helping Hand

On June 19th several staff members took time out of their summer to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. Donna Robinson, Marianne Alden, Kristee Bruch, Katie Francis and Karen Dillon went to Pageland, South Carolina to help paint and prepare a house for insulation. The home that they worked on was for a hard working mother of four. The crew felt like they were doing something very important, giving back. Several of them commented on how fortunate they felt to work at a wonderful school like Antioch, and that this was a great opportunity to help someone who was less fortunate. Karen Dillon, who organized this day, hopes to have even more staff members participate in the fall. “Helping an organization like Habitat for Humanity and getting to talk to the family who will benefit from our work was very rewarding. Our staff is very giving and excited about the second opportunity in the fall.”
