Rivers inducted into Softball Hall of Fame

Forest Hills High School softball coach, Eddie Rivers, has been inducted into the North Carolina Softball Hall of Fame. Induction of the inaugural class took place in July at an annual coaches' clinic in Greensboro.  Rivers has been the head softball coach at Forest Hills for 26 years.

"It was a great honor and a very humbling experience for me.  Just to be nominated with such a powerful list of coaches was a thrill for me."

"To be chosen for induction in the inaugural class by my peers was very, very special.  It is an honor that I am tremedously proud of and thank all the players, assistant coaches, and Forest Hills High School for the opportunity to achieve such a milestone."

Rivers has also been named coach of the Forest Hills girls' basketball team, succeeding Lacy Hart who left for another job.
