Seniors Enjoy Senior Patio at Lunch

Senior Deb Guthmann takes a moment from eating her sandwich on the Senior Patio to pose for the camera.

Senior year for students is full of exciting and thrilling experiences and this holds true for the first senior class of CHS. Memories are created and the days until graduation grow closer and closer by the minute. Students have been working thirteen years to get to this point and their last year comes with special privileges that are exclusive for seniors only. Seniors are allowed to leave for lunch and home earlier than the rest of the student body. However, one of the most appreciated privileges is our Senior Patio. When asked what is her favorite aspect of the Senior Patio, Sarah Wilson responded, “The warmth of the sun and the tranquility of being outside, away from everyone, with my senior friends.” GRACE Community Church, which holds services at CHS every Sunday, sponsored the construction of the senior patio. The stone patio includes seven tables and natural landscaping. The patio is a warm alternative to the sometimes freezing cafeteria, and a great way to start off a memorable senior year.
