Taradiddle Players Perform at East Union

Tomas and the Library Lady, by award-winning author Pat Mora, is a true story based on the early life of Tomas Rivera.  He was born in 1935 to farm laborer parents.  Rivera eventually became a teacher and earned several college degrees.  He went on to become the Chancellor of the University of California-Riverside and was the youngest person in the state to ever hold such a position.  Jose Cruz Gonzalez, playwright, adapted the story for the stage.
