Let us lead by serving others

Alex Trevisan, Nick Kachulis, and Graham Tuttle, Beta Club Officers

The Weddington High School chapter of the National Beta Club is outstanding and high achieving in every possible facet. Among the list of its accolades lies the High School Service Award for 2009-2010, given to our club for our tremendous volunteer work at local schools and charities. These titles are not given to the group haphazardly though. With a spectacular force of the finest students, the club is able to accomplish many service projects, including a recent venture where school supplies were raised and donated for struggling elementary schools. Beta Club officers, Alex Trevisan, Nick Kachulis, and Graham Tuttle are pictured holding some of the school supplies that will be donated. Currently, our chapter is involved in a winter coat drive to make sure that these same students are kept warm and able to learn throughout the winter months. In the coming year, we have plans for embarking on canned food drives, volunteering at local elementary schools and tutoring students of all ages. If the past achievements of this club have not given any inclination to the power of the servant, then our plans for the coming year will remove any doubt. The National Beta Club has been helping people for over 75 years. We have set high standards for the Weddington chapter, which we have more than lived up to. Weddington High School Beta Club is the real deal.
