Jack's Adventure Comes to Antioch

Jack and his Gator friends.

One of the most talked about shows of the Bright Star Touring Theatre came to Antioch September 28th. The theatre group made history come alive to our fourth and fifth graders. This high energy show seeked out audience members to help write the Constitution, work on Ford's assembly line, and even used them to help demand the right to vote.

The theatre group from Asheville, North Carolina, came to Antioch to honor some of America's greatest heroes. The 45-minute adventure all started when Jack's history book magically exploded! It spanned the time from early America to the late 1900s. Some of the heroes the fourth and fifth graders got to "meet" were George Washington, Betsy Ross, Thomas Jefferson, Henry Ford, and Neil Armstrong. The Bright Star Touring Theatre will travel across 16 states and play to more than 650 audiences. They have 14 different touring productions, all with an American theme this year.
