Swinging for Swings Brings in the Money
The students at Antioch Elementary were swinging water balloons at Mr. Hoover and Mrs. Dillon one blistery October 22nd day. It was all part of our Invest in a Child (IIAC) fundraiser that is raising money to purchase more playground equipment for the school. Mr. Hoover and Mrs. Dillon were great sports about this and the students thoroughly enjoyed this event. Students were charged a nominal fee to purchase water balloons and then had to put their golfing skills into action. They had to get a hole in one to throw water balloons at either Mr. Hoover or Mrs. Dillon.
Our school's overall goal is $25,000 and the students participated in several events like this one to achieve that goal. Be sure to see more news items in the next week about the IIAC campaign. A special thanks to Peggy Rishe for organizing these events, and another special thanks goes out to our photographers, Kristy Beausoleil and Robyn Macfarlane, for taking such great photos this year for our school.
