Our Trip to Barrier Island!
Barrier Island was a blast! The Prospect 5th Grade AIG went on a three day trip to Saint Christopher Camp and Conference Center. These students participated in many activities, such as: crabbing, seining, hiking and playing. During this time, the students were learning too!
The trip to Saint Christopher was approximately a four hour drive. When the students got there, the activities soon began.
Students say the food was the best! The cafeteria served their food “southern style.†The tables were assigned waiters/waitresses and housekeepers. The jobs were hard work, but a lot of fun.
Night activities included campfires, games and playing at the rec hall. At the campfire, students sang songs and watched and performed plays. A lot of people thought that was the highlight of their trip.
In the morning, students were to be in the cafeteria by 8:00. There were many activities and before they knew it, it was time for bed. Lights out at 10:00!
So now you know what Barrier Island was all about. It was a fun learning experience for all the AIG students.
