Looking for some good news?
The Good News Club is an after school Bible study club. The club meets every Monday from 2:00 until 3:30. The club began on November 8th. We kicked off the year with an ice cream party. At club students are separated into clubs according to their grade. Each club has a lead teacher, music leader and class helpers. At Good News Club, students get to spend time with their friends learning Bible stories in fun and exciting ways. Students will sing, play games and earn prizes by memorizing verses. The club is a great way to improve self-esteem, teach students good morals and become positive and encouraging role models to others. This club is sponsored by Lee Park Baptist Church so there is no cost to students. We also have helpers from Philadelphia Baptist Church and Centerview Baptist Church. Students can enroll at anytime in the school year. We look forward to spending this school year with your child at the Good News Club!
A special thanks to Stan Piercenski, who is over the Good News Club and to all the volunteers that spend their Mondays working with these students.
