Forest Hills High Hosts FBLA Leadership Conference

For the second year in a row the Forest Hills Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America hosted the FBLA Southwest Fall Leadership Conference at South Piedmont Community College.  Fall Leadership Conference is a one day event where students and advisers participate in motivational general sessions, professional development, and career planning workshops.

This year some of the workshops included: Make your own rules as a 21st Century Entrepreneur; Building Your Self-Esteem; Social Networking; Money Management: Making your money work for you; Dress for Success; and 10 Steps in Starting Your Business. These were just a few of the many workshops students and advisors were able to participate in at this year's conference.

Over 300 FBLA students attended from the southwest region which consists of Anson, Carbarrus, Cleveland, Gaston, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Stanley and Union counties.

The leadership conference was topped off with the electrifying motivational speaker David A. Burton, a licensed clinical social worker who spoke to students about "The 3 P's": Finding your Passion, unleashing your Power and unlocking your Possibilities.

Future Business Leaders of America is certainly preparing our students for the 21st century and BEYOND!
