Fourth grade students had a different twist on math, reading, writing, and science through “Pumpkinology†on October 29th. As the students rotated through each fourth grade classroom, they used their pumpkins to study polygons, circumference, scientific properties such as density and buoyancy, story writing plots with “The Keeper of the Pumpkin Patch,†and working cooperatively to answer questions about a fiction pumpkin piece. By the end of the day, the students and their adopted pumpkins were amazed at how much fun learning really can be!
