Piedmont Cluster recognized in United Way campaign
The Piedmont Cluster was recognized during a recent principals’ meeting as contributing the “highest per capita†in this year’s United Way Campaign.
The Piedmont Cluster was one of several recognized for its contributions to United Way. Union County Public School employees pledged $151,385.66 this year, an increase from last year's pledge of $136,698.93.
"I am very pleased with the dramatic increase in giving over last year given these tough economic times,†said UCPS Director of Employee Relations Ken Roess, who spearheaded the United Way drive. “I feel that our employees saw the increased needs of our community and rose to the occasion with an outpouring of financial support.â€
